Bagua Shen Gong

I am honored to be a student of the Wu Family Chinese Healing Arts of BaguaZhang, a form of Shen Gong, or Heart Spirit Energy Work. The birthplace of Bagua is in the mystical mountains of KunLun in Tibet. This is an art that was transmitted through Goddess Quan Yin, who came down from the heavens on a chariot. Bagua evolved from Tibetan Bon Shamanism and is a magical dance of vortexes, played in physical poetry and woven on a circle.

The 64 changes of the Bagua relate to the 64 codons of DNA—both are cosmic libraries encoding the blueprint of existence. The 8 trigrams, corresponding to the 8 primordial forces of nature, mirror the 8 psychic channels (nadis or meridians) of the human body. Together, they form a living mandala: the I Ching’s binary language (yin/yang) is the same ‘software’ running our genetic code, while the 8 trigrams govern the flow of qi (life force) through the body’s subtle energy matrix.

This means the universe writes its wisdom in spirals—the helix of DNA, the swirl of the Bagua, and the coiled Kundalini at the base of the spine. To decipher these 64 gates is to read the source code of consciousness itself:

  • DNA directs biological life,

  • The I Ching directs metaphysical truth,

  • Their intersection reveals the purpose of incarnation—to evolve as self-aware fractals of the Tao, transforming cosmic law into embodied love.

Mastery of Vortexes

Join me to walk together through the portal of the Dragon Gate into the realm where alchemical energy is cultivated through the heart-mind.

These private sessions will be a combination of theory and movement, imbued with lost secrets and knowledge about the technology hidden within our bodies that can come alive with consistent practice.

The various forms of active meditation work to influence the frequency of the plasma within and surrounding our being through the embodiment of sacred geometry.

The body as a cauldron alchemizes painful emotions through the practice, transmuting shadows into gifts.

“When the mastery of vortexes is accomplished with the oldest traditional practice, it becomes a beautiful dance of vortexes called Baguazhang, coiling and uncoiling with the Tao originating from Wu Chi.”

— Sifu Christopher Lee Matsuo, Dragon Gate Sanctuary
